Maidstone Skatepark is a free 1000 square metre Upper Hutt City Council facility inside Maidstone Park, sitting beside the Maidstone Max adventure playground. The 2021 rebuild added a big flow bowl with steel and pool coping, plus a street section with grind rails, ledges, a pyramid, an A-frame and quarterpipe turnarounds, all marked with a skateable art feature. Open 24/7 year round except on competition days, and well-regarded by Upper Hutt riders. Suits intermediate and advanced skaters more than first-timers, with the playground next door for younger siblings.

Refurbished about a year ago - went there today for the first time! Such an awesome park, great lines, amazing bowl, good for all levels. There is also a pump track here. Super smooth and lovely locals!! Has lights at night 🌃
