McLeod Park is an 18.6 acre Upper Hutt City Council reserve running between McLeod Street and River Road in Elderslea, with several community clubrooms, a bowls court, and wide open lawn for walks and ball games. The McLeod Street Play Area sits inside the park as the playground component, with picnic spots and trees giving a calm Elderslea feel. A relaxed community park rather than a destination playground.
