Kotuku Park is a neighbourhood reserve in Paraparaumu Beach with open green space and a refreshed playground installed after a 2020 community design vote. The play area centres on a pirate-themed wooden boat and ship's wheel, with a full swing set, climbing net module, slide, see-saw and small rock wall. Shade, picnic seating and a perimeter walking track make it a relaxed local stop, with views across to Kapiti Island from the open lawn. Families describe it as a quieter neighbourhood spot rather than a destination playground.
