Kelvin Grove Park is a Palmerston North City Council neighbourhood park on Peter Hall Drive in Kelvin Grove, with a big open lawn used for casual cricket and touch rugby beside the playground. A new concrete path runs from Peter Hall Drive through to Rhodes Drive, replacing the old limestone, and a junior play area, shelter, swings, slides, climbing structures, and a soil-mound inground slide round out the play space. Walking and biking trails loop through the park, with toilets and parking on site. A relaxed local family park rather than a destination playground.

We're not from Kelvin Grove so didn't know about it until recently. It's got a great playground for little ones (ours is 3yo) who like to climb. Can climb up on the steel fort and get a wicked view of the wind turbines from there. Great walking loops for running scooters or balance bikes on. Good shelter with the trees overhanging the playground and the swing and slide isn't too shabby.

Walked around the park to get some exercise, didn't meet many dogs which I was happy about
