Celaeno Park is an 18-acre Palmerston North City Council reserve on Schnell Drive in Kelvin Grove, named for the Scandinavian heritage of the suburb. The standout feature is a large Viking-ship climbing structure that kids can clamber over, alongside swings, a slide, picnic seating, shade and outdoor calisthenics equipment, plus walking and running trails through grassed slopes; on-site parking and toilets are available. Nearby playgrounds include Parnell Heights, Kelvin Grove Park and Lakemba Reserve.

My local sports field and it is maintained well. Not sure why the goals are left up in summer. Grounds keeper needs to take them down in summer.
