Celaeno Park is an 18-acre Palmerston North City Council neighbourhood reserve on Schnell Drive in Kelvin Grove, with picnic spots, walking and running paths and ample parking. The distinctive playground centres on a wooden Viking ship — a nod to the area’s Scandinavian settler heritage — and includes monkey bars, slides, swings, climbing structures and a fenced perimeter. Public toilets and a calisthenics zone sit alongside.

It's a small but fun playground with all the usual things; swings, slides, monkey bars etc. It's next to the big field, so lots of space to run around. It's not fully fenced, but there's not too much traffic as it's not on a main road.
