Hickford Park is a New Plymouth District Council multi-sport reserve in Bell Block, about 6km north-east of central New Plymouth off State Highway 3 via Smeaton Road. The grounds host three sports fields used for rugby, soccer, and cricket, a skate park, and the Taranaki Cycle Park including a world-class BMX track and velodrome, alongside a playground geared at ages 2 to 12 with diverse play structures. Entry is free, toilets and ample parking on site. A regional bike-and-sports destination rather than a quick neighbourhood playground.
