Havelock North Village Green is the village heart on Te Mata Road, sitting at the base of Te Mata Peak with entrances off Te Mata, Napier Road and Karanema Drive. The 2017-refurbished destination playground packs in climbing frames, slides, swings, a double seesaw, water play feature, xylophone, roundabout and outdoor musical instruments under shade sails, with the Mackersey Family Pavilion, skate park, picnic tables, toilets and parking around it. The grassy green hosts community events year-round.

Lovely town space and os thoroughly used by the locals. Large play area for the kids with plenty of seating for adults. Clean public toilets and a convenient space that you can hire that opens on to a concreted deck, has all amenities. Lined with tress and a happy view of the village. Handy to local shops, cafes, the library and function centre. Great place to relax and chill with family and friends.
The Havelock North Village Green is a nice little spot close to the shops. The playground, although due to be improved was good for smaller kids, but didn't have a lot to offer the older. With the exception of the skate park that is. The …
