Guthrie Park is a Hastings District Council sports reserve on Brookvale Road in Havelock North, home to the Havelock North Wanderers football club and the Havelock North Bridge Club. The site has three senior and one junior football field plus a large junior training area used for winter football and summer cricket, and a national-standard BMX track on the Romanes Drive side. A small neighbourhood playground sits beside the sports area; for a bigger destination playground, Havelock North Village Green is a short drive away.

It's collection of soccer fields with no nets. Why the soccer clubs in the area can't get nets for the coaches to take 5 minutes to put up before and 5 minutes to take down after each game, I don't know. Maybe their fees go toward something more important than keeping the games moving.
I just go there to practice on the BMX track. Other than that there's a nice spot to fill up large water bottles plus swings for the kids and a sports field just over the dry creek. Nice park
