Fowlds Kids Playground sits inside Auckland Councils Fowlds Park on Western Springs Road in Morningside, bordering Mt Albert and Western Springs. The park opened in 1935 honouring politician Sir George Fowlds and was designed by Fred Tschopp, reputed as New Zealands first practicing landscape architect. The play space near Malvern Road has multi-level play towers, two open slides, climbing bars, rope climbs, bouncy toys, swings, and a basket swing under mature shade trees, with picnic tables, BBQ, accessible toilets, fitness equipment, and a path-loop around the sports fields. A solid all-rounder community sports park well-regarded by Mt Albert and Morningside families.
