Farndon Park Domain is a Hastings District Council 8 hectare historic reserve on Farndon Road in Clive, on the banks of the Clive River. One of Hawkes Bays oldest recreation grounds (purchased from its Maori owners in 1870), it hosted New Zealands first tennis championships in 1885. The playground includes swings, seesaws, a large climbing frame, and slides, alongside the Clive Rugby Club, Clive Tennis Club, Hawkes Bay Rowing, Kayak Racing and Waka Ama clubs, and the Hastings District Council Clive Swimming Pool (year-round). A heritage sports-led waterfront park rather than a destination playground.
