Tareha Recreation Reserve is a 15-hectare sports park off Guppy Road in Taradale, Napier, named after the 19th-century Heretaunga chief Tareha. The reserve hosts rugby, touch, softball and football for the Taradale Rugby and Sports Club, with a medium playground beside the clubrooms offering slides, tunnels and a flying fox for a range of ages, plus toilets and changing rooms.

Went to this park for primary school rugby tournament. A very nice walk thru Ascot Park, the grounds were mowed and free of rubbish. This was a very enjoyable place to watch a game of rugby.

A park in the making. After being hammered by the February 2023 the wrecked park had been gradually resurrected and restored by Regional Council staff (props) with new grassing and plantings. This nascent sanctuary will be a major asset in a few years, providing the Tutaekuri doesn't vomit all over the landscape again.
