Eskdale Park is a Crown Recreation Reserve next to the Esk River about 4km north of Napier, donated to the public by Thomas Clark over a century ago and administered by Hastings District Council. The park has mature trees, picnic and BBQ areas, a cricket pitch, a children's playground, an off-lead dog area along the southern side and walking tracks; community use has been impacted by Cyclone Gabrielle and a draft Reserve Management Plan is being revisited.
