I really enjoy going to Donovan Park. Let's be clear tho, there is no playground and not a lot to see except for a pond, ducks n a variety of trees. I find it very peaceful and an enjoyable place to take a little walk from one end to the other 😁💓. …

Donovan Park is a 79-hectare Invercargill City Council semi-rural reserve on the northern fringe of the city in Waikiwi, combining parkland, farmland and grazing paddocks with informal grass walking trails and an off-leash dog exercise area. Families come for the large duck pond, with sports grounds and clubrooms in the southwest corner used by the Waikiwi Rugby Football Club. A 2024 Masterplan is shaping the reserve’s next decade of upgrades.

Nice pond and water fowl. The write up made me believe that there would be various farm animals and rare breeds. There were none. Also on Google maps it looks like a round walk, however the smaller track around the back is not available for public access.
