Dolamore Park is a 95-hectare Gore District Council park 11km from Gore on the lower slopes of the Hokonui Hills, established in 1940 and named after the Dolamore family who donated £38,000 in 1947 to develop the picnic facilities. It is the gateway to the Croydon Bush Scenic Reserve, with native podocarp forest walks ranging from 10 minutes to 4 hours, a disc-golf course, a basic camping ground, picnic lawns and BBQs, and an excellent children's playground with slides, swings, jungle gyms, a rope-climbing wall and a flying fox.
