This beachfront children's playground sits in Little Oneroa Reserve at the end of Goodwin Avenue on Waiheke Island, only a few steps from the sand at Little Oneroa Beach. The play space mixes equipment suited to a wide age range with free gas BBQs, picnic tables, shelters and large mature shade trees over the grass, plus off-street parking. The pizza truck and Oneroa village shops are a few minutes' walk up the hill, making it an easy combine-the-swim-with-a-snack family stop. Best treated as a summer beach destination rather than a winter visit.
