William Green Domain Sand Playground is an Auckland Council play space tucked at the back of the William Green Domain reserve in Highland Park, accessed easily from the car park. The play space is distinctive for its full sand floor under the equipment, paired with sunshade sails over the playground and a varied range of equipment aimed at younger children. A large football field, public toilets and an unfenced creek sit alongside, so parents need to keep a close eye on younger kids. Best treated as an east Auckland local stop for sand play and shade.
