Kahawairahi Playground sits inside Auckland Councils Kahawairahi Drive Reserve in Beachlands on the Pohutukawa Coast. The destination play space mixes a sandy area, a nature trail with moth and centipede stepping stones, water play, climbing nets, high swings, a giant tower with a tunnel slide, a separate toddler playground, and a bright blue and yellow basketball half-court. Picnic tables, seats, and a 2025 Franklin Local Board shade upgrade make it a comfortable family stop, though the playground is not fenced and there are no public toilets on site. Well-regarded by East Auckland families as a coast-side destination playground.
