Bothamley Park is the second largest reserve in Porirua, a sheltered valley along Kenepuru Stream with more than 5km of shared walk/cycle pathways linking Mepham Place to Warspite Avenue in Ascot Park. The 2021-upgraded playground at the Ascot Park end features a double flying fox, a big slide, toilets and picnic tables, and the wider park is part of a million-plant restoration project run by Porirua City Council.

Great park and walkway but sometimes have to be careful of off leash dogs that aren’t well behaved. Other than that, it’s really great to walk, run or bike.

Great spot for a walk, jog or to take the dog for a run. A lot of rubbish in the stream unfortunately but it doesn’t seem to deter the bird life. Great Porirua asset with a few wetlands reestablishing along parts of the walkway. Plenty of parking and family friendly tracks.
