The Water Feature sits inside Kowhai Park on Anzac Parade, on the riverbank in Whanganui East, and is the park's summertime splash zone. It mixes interactive water fountains, splash pools and paddling areas that switch on in warm weather, alongside the rest of Kowhai Park's flying fox, picnic seating, toilets and waterfront parking. Parents flag it as a hot-day go-to for younger kids; visit with togs and towels in summer.

My grandchildren love Kowhai park and the water feature just tops off the fun for them, much more little kid friendly than the flying fox. Excellent place to be with the family on a nice hot summers day, with free gas bbqs supplied and ample ground space for the biggest family to have a picnic.
