Waiteata Park is a Gisborne District Council reserve at the corner of Richardson Avenue and Russell Street in Whataupoko, with the Waiteti Stream running through. The playground caters from toddlers to pre-teens with swings, slides, climbing frames and a roktopus, alongside picnic seating, walking paths and an off-lead dog area; there are no on-site toilets so visitors should plan ahead.

Neat playground to take the grandkids/kids to have some fun in the sun. Swings, roktopus and climbing frames to play on. Fun for under 5s and upto 12 years.

Great park for walking your dogs, or a good game of cricket aswell as a beautiful family picnic.
