Waitangi Park is a six hectare urban park on the Wellington waterfront in Te Aro, opened in 2006 as part of the waterfront redevelopment. The playground is best known for its interactive water play area with pumps, channels and sprays, alongside sand play, swings and climbing frames. The wider park also includes a popular skatepark, basketball half court, petanque area and waka launching ramp.

Came here for the new sculpture in Welly by Seung Yul Oh’s KIMI/You Are Here! The sculpture itself looks like an inverted drop of tears, made of mirrored steel. Really cool to see our reflection on it with different perspectives.
