Frank Kitts Park is a Wellington Central waterfront playground on reclaimed land between Jervois Quay and the harbour, reopened in February 2024 as Te Aro Mahana after a major Wellington City Council rebuild. The hero piece is a tall lighthouse play tower with slides, paired with an interactive waka, climbing nets, swing sets, soft synthetic safety surfacing and accessible pathways aimed at giving every child a way in. Shaded seating and picnic tables sit alongside the play area, with the lagoon, Whairepo lagoon and city skyline behind. Treat it as a destination stop on the Wellington waterfront walk.
