Charles Plimmer Park is a Wellington City Council Town Belt park on the lower slopes of Mount Victoria with broad harbour views over the city, Matiu/Somes Island, and the Orongorongo Range. The northern end is a commemorative tree site with seats catching the late afternoon sun, while the southern end is a flat grass field. The park is a gateway to the Mount Victoria walking trails and a popular off-leash dog spot, with picnic spots among native plantings. A nature-led scenic park rather than a manufactured playground.
