Victoria Park is a large Christchurch City Council reserve high on the Port Hills above the city, established in 1883. The children's playground sits near the main Sign of the Takahe entrance with slides built into the rocks, forts and climbing features, alongside designated picnic areas, a dog park, toilets, parking and a network of walking and biking tracks including the Harry Ell Track to the Sign of the Bellbird.
