Cashmere Playground sits on a slight hillside at 73 Cashmere Road, at the foot of the Port Hills opposite the Heathcote River. The Christchurch City Council space is fully enclosed (with one cheeky exit to keep an eye on), with modern equipment including a very cool slide, climbing structures, monkey bars, swings, a small bike track, and picnic tables among shaded trees. Facilities include a port-a-loo, drinking fountain, and parking. Consistently mentioned in toddler-friendly Christchurch playground roundups for its fenced setup and slight slope.

The playground's main attraction is the big blue slide on the side. Though it also has swings, monkey bars, a maze, and a few others, too. The kids would love to ride their bike or scooter here. The space may be small, but they might enjoy the inclined trail in the middle (especially for those wee ones looking for adventure).

Brilliant playground! Fully fenced and safe. Most people dont know thi, but dogs actually aren't allowed in this park. As the animal control by laws states, dogs aren't to be within 2 meters of a playground, and the whole place is a playground. Massive big slide with climbing rocks and stairs and also smaller slides for little ones. Public toilet and picnic tables with grass hills to run on. Real fruit ice cream often available across the road at the beautiful cashmere riverbank. Highly recommended on a nice day with the kids. Bins provided, so please remind your children to keep the park litter free, or parents should pick up after them for our future generations to enjoy the park for years to come.
