Trelissick Park stretches along the Ngaio Gorge below Crofton Downs, a rugged native bush reserve threaded by the Kaiwharawhara and Korimako streams. Walking tracks of 30 minutes to two hours weave through the gorge with five main entrances including Trelissick Crescent, plus an off-leash dog area, sculpture, an old totara and a small children’s playground near the entrance. Wellington City Council and the Trelissick Park Group maintain the reserve.

Lovely calm place to walk, no matter the weather! Dog safe, and all walkers sharing the space respectfully. Our GSD loves the stream running through, and exploring the bridges across it. An all round safe sensory experience for him, and us!

Incredible off-leash dog walking tracks, the water and stream is gorgeous! Lots to see! Lots of spots to acess the water for dogs to drink, or dogs who enjoy swimming. Lots if other dogs walking and all very friendly encounters. It's definitely not a mild track imo, very steep in sections. I wouldn't recommend the downhill paths if you have funny knees. But it's absolutely worth checking out. Iv only explored a couple paths myself and there is more to explore yet.
