Totaranui Park is small and cute, tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac on its main entrance, yet bordering a more accessible way up the hill at its back, via Maxwells Line and Tip Road, from which it sinks almost to dissappear from view. This makes it at unique playground, indeed. The playground itself is more of a three star thing, but it has Paneiri Park across the road, which expands its boundary, parking options, access to toilets, etc. Nice park worth of a detour! If doing Palmy's Best Playgrounds Route, another nearby worthy-of-a-detour playground is at Riverdale Park; else, there is always Rangitane Park.
