Its a big park in the middle of Porirua where sometimes there are events. There is a skate park at the end of it and accross from it is the indoor sports arena and swiming pool

Te Rauparaha Park is Porirua’s central civic open space alongside Te Rauparaha Arena, used for casual sport, picnics, community events and festivals. The headline feature is Porirua Skatepark, a 900m² Ngāti Toa-themed skate area with a kidney bowl, banks, rails, fun boxes and floodlights designed around the Awarua taniwha story. Toilets are inside the adjacent arena and a drinking fountain sits near the skate area; on-site parking is at hand.
