Te Kohanga Manaaki Petone Playscape is a fully fenced community-built playscape at 72 Cuba Street in Petone, opened May 2021 on land owned by The Salvation Army. Designed for under-5s, the space combines sand pits, water play, climbing structures, slides, and a collaborative double slide that encourages kids to play together. Open 7am to 7pm seven days a week with a safe, sheltered feel that local families regularly cite as a community connector. A well-regarded toddler-focused stop rather than a destination playground for older kids.
