Sladden Park is a riverside reserve in Petone, Lower Hutt, on the eastern bank of the Hutt River. The park has a modestly sized playground better suited to children over five, picnic tables, public toilets, mature shade trees and a duck pond. The wider reserve has open sports fields used for soccer and rugby, riverbank walking paths and a small boat ramp giving access to the Hutt River.

Though a small play area for kids but I loved the walking n sitting most . You won't find many people roaming around so can be good if you like to have few moments of calmness :) though not guranteed every time. Oh yes, it has a small duck pond as well ..lucky you

Small park but nice place to go to with kids. There is a large field as well to play rugby or soccer!
