Great day for rugby league, popular place for dog walkers and cyclists on the track. Didn't even know the beach was a stones throw from park, indeed a hidden park with alot of things to do and see.

McEwan Park is a waterfront sports and events ground at Petone Beach on Marine Parade, Lower Hutt, consisting mainly of turf playing fields and open grass areas. For decades it has been the home of Petone Football Club and a venue for local sports leagues, rugby league tournaments and community events. The park has public toilets, a small car park and a path connecting along the foreshore to The Esplanade beach.
