It's okay. Excellent for jogging, walking and cycling. You can cross the railway bridge and do a loop by walking on the opposite river bank when returning towards Ewen Bridge, or you can simply continue to Waione Bridge, the Hutt Estuary, and Seaview.
Good sealed walk cycle track on river bank and an unsealed track close to river. River access too, not for boat, use Sladden boat ramp.
