I went down to South Park and had myself a time. There were friendly faces everywhere and humble folks with out temptation. There is always ample parking day and night and people shouting howdy neighbour. Over all it was a really good experience :)

South Park is a Masterton District Council park on Harley Street in the Kuripuni area, bought by the Masterton Borough Council in 1926, with plenty of open green space, playground equipment including swings, monkey bars, and a climbing frame, and the home softball diamond of the Masterton Giants. The park is well-regarded by Masterton families with room for ball games, picnics, and easy parking. A solid neighbourhood park rather than a destination playground.

Well this motel is awesome. Motorsport drag racers stay here during race season. The proprieters Dave and Pat are very friendly and accomdating, along with the staff. They make you feel so welcome, they're great for a yarn. Very clean and tidy, handy to shops and not far from the great Masterton motorplex
