Had the best time in Masterton it was a surprisingly awesome place! Watched a rugby league game at the park which was awesome. The bar was open in the clubhouse and they served us like hundreds of punnets of chips and other things. Awesome.

McJorrow Park sits between the Cameron Block suburb and the Waipoua River in eastern Masterton. The playground was built 2015-17 with community input and was upgraded in 2024 with a soft-pour flexi surface (replacing bark chip), a wheelchair-accessible path to the Lilypad swing and two interactive play panels, alongside swings, slides, an asphalt basketball court, picnic tables and a sunshade. Locals describe it as a strong source of pride for the Eastside whānau and a well-used community hangout rather than a destination playground.

We have all the schools in our areas' touch matches here. There is enough parking. The fields are reasonably well marked. Neatly kept grass and reasonable level ground. It is easily accessible and playing fields are away from the street whch makes it safe for younger children.
