Sherwood Reserve is an Auckland Council park in Browns Bay, where a Sherwood Forest themed destination playground opened in 2016. The playground entry is through a wooden castle pavilion with a drawbridge leading into the main play area, with a bird's nest climbing tower, climbing bars, slides, a bridge, monkey bars, swings (including a basket swing), a seesaw, decorative thrones and a set of medieval stocks. The wider reserve has bush walking trails, a duck pond, public toilets and a small commercial strip with shops nearby.

Here’s a polished Google review for Sherwood Reserve, written in a balanced and engaging tone: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem on the North Shore! Sherwood Reserve is one of those places that makes you feel like you've discovered a secret oasis in the middle of suburbia. It’s got everything – a beautiful duck pond, shaded walking paths, a cool wooden playground for the kids, and plenty of grassy areas to picnic or kick a ball around. What I love most is how peaceful it is. Even on a busy day, there’s enough space to find your own quiet corner. The native trees and little bridges give it a storybook vibe – perfect for strolls, drawing inspiration, or just letting the kids explore. Bonus: there's usually plenty of parking nearby, and it’s just a short walk to Browns Bay shops if you want to grab a coffee or bite after. Or get a quick haircut, grab fish n chips or anything from the dairy. Highly recommend for families, walkers, or anyone needing a quick nature break without leaving town.

Very impressive playground with Climbing, swings, seating, toilets. Well kept. Fun for the children. 4 stars a I thought it would benefit from more shade. Nearby shops for fish and chips and a shop for drinks, ice cream etc. Firm favourite. Would highly recommend.
