Sherwood Playground (inside Sherwood Reserve in Browns Bay) is a Sherwood Forest themed Auckland Council destination playground opened in 2016. Entry is through a wooden castle pavilion with a drawbridge leading into the main play area, with a bird's nest climbing tower, climbing bars, slides, a bridge, monkey bars, swings (including a basket swing), a seesaw, decorative thrones and a set of medieval stocks. The wider reserve has bush walking trails, a duck pond, public toilets, picnic tables and a small commercial strip with shops nearby.

Really great playground attached to a wonderful park with lovely walking tracks. Well set out with something for most ages. Would love to see them add some more attractions as there is plenty of space. Also great having the takeaways and dairy right there to enjoy.

Pretty mint playground, segregated into 3 parts - there is this mini obstacle course which was very cool. Bonus dairy and takeaway just meters away. Nice to see kids making their way to shops in their little packs, giving me nostalgic vibes. Plenty of parking too.
