Lovely little playground for a short stop. Nice view of airport and we spotted a ferry too. There are some swings, a little roundabout, a very high firemans pole, a small climbing wall and a couple of different slides. No toilets. Big steep grassy slope. A very small seesaw.

Salford Street Play Area is a Wellington City Council junior play space in the Newlands hill suburb, designed to serve tamariki within a 600m walking radius. The refreshed playground (replacing 18-year-old equipment under NZ playground standards) features swings with 2 infant seats, 2 belt seats and an inclusive seat, plus slides, climbing and seesaw equipment. Reviewers note the playground is not fenced and is best for older toddlers and primary-age kids rather than a destination day-out.
