The Onerahi Beach Playground sits on the foreshore overlooking Whangārei Harbour in the Onerahi suburb. The play space has a ship-themed climbing frame, swings, slides, climbing trees and a fresh-water drinking fountain, with sunshades, BBQs, picnic spots under pōhutukawa trees, scenic walking paths and accessible public toilets nearby; the beach itself offers mid-tide swimming and kayaking.

Great playground, has sunshade in summer. Swings, slides, and a climbing frame like a little ship, and really great climbing trees. Fresh water fountain for people and dogs. Can swim off the beach from mid tide up. BBQ seats and two BBQ if you bring the firewood. Public toilet with disabled access.
