Onekawa Park is an 8.57-hectare Napier City Council sports park on Flanders Avenue, anchored by the Napier Aquatic Centre (two 25m pools, learner pools, spas, water slides since the 1974 Olympic pool opening), the Omni Gymnastic Centre and tennis and netball courts. The outdoor playground beside the pools features a flying fox, trampoline, slides, swings and climbing structures under shade sails, with BBQ shelter, picnic seating and a summer spray park. The park was set aside in 1946.

Covid ranks things a little lower. There is an older pool Unilever, great fir aquatherapy, but needs to be 2 degrees warmer. The main pool is great for laps but too cold for me. The spas are awesome if open, usually not during covid. A salt water chlorine free pool is needed in our community,

Needs a revamp, provides the basics for disability access , seems more catered for sports teams🤔 …
