Montgomery Reserve is an Auckland Council Devonport-Takapuna reserve at Montgomery Avenue and Wicklow Road in Belmont, anchored by a large nautical-themed playground. A wooden ship sits centre stage with climbing walls, climbing nets, a rope bridge, and tunnels, joined by swings, slides, a flying fox, in-ground mini trampolines, and a natural-play area with stumps and poles set into the grass. Open lawn for ball games, an off-leash dog exercise area, picnic spots, and walking tracks ring the play space. Well-regarded by North Shore families as a destination ship playground rather than a quick local stop.
