Windsor Reserve is an Auckland Council waterfront reserve on Devonport's harbour-side village frontage off Victoria Road, with a 2019 upgraded playground that overlooks the city skyline. The lighthouse-themed play structure has ladders, slides and a viewing tower, alongside a three-bay swing set plus a separate basket swing, an oyster-shaped group spinner and fish-shaped rocker (intertidal-reef theme), an air swing, a crawl tunnel, a rope climb, balance springers, stepping poles and climb rocks. Around the playground sit Devonport Library, the 1924 War Memorial, a band rotunda, picnic tables, public toilets, a beach shower, drinking fountains and bike racks.

Magic spot in the heart of Auckland city. A pier, a beach, shorewalk, shade under ancient old trees and lots of eateries. Great library across the road. Plus the stroll through the mainstreet is just lovely. Little galleries, jewelery shops, little surprises everywhere. My favorite part of Auckland.

The hike wasn't too tough. The views from the top are amazing, totally worth it. They even have an old WWII cannon up there. It's a really cool piece of history. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.
