Marlow Park, better known as Dunedin’s Dinosaur Park, sits between St Clair and St Kilda on Victoria Road, built by the Dunedin South Rotary Club in the early 1970s. The seaside playground is famous for its concrete stegosaurus slide, diplodocus swings and concrete whale sculpture, plus a mini road circuit for bikes and scooters. A 2025 Dunedin City Council destination-playground redevelopment is set to add in-ground trampolines, a parkour course and a fossil-themed sand play area while keeping the iconic dinosaur and whale.

On a hot day there will always be a cool breeze. The best spot in Dunedin for a day with the kids, beach 2 minutes away, fields next to it for kicking a ball. Full park options and a cycle/scooter area.

Despite the weather, the kids had fun.
