Long Bay Playground is the Variety The Childrens Charity all-abilities play space inside Auckland Councils 160 hectare Long Bay Regional Park, opened in 2012. The fully inclusive playground sits beside BBQs, picnic shelters, swings, and a zipline, with paved access for prams and wheelchairs and direct walking to the safe swimming bay. The wider park is one of Aucklands most-visited coastal parks with walking and mountain biking tracks, kayaking, windsurfing, and self-contained vehicle camping. A genuine North Shore destination day-out rather than a quick neighbourhood stop.
