Kowhai Park is Feilding’s 10.2-hectare heritage park on South Street, Manawatū District Council-managed and a key recreational area for more than a century (renamed Kowhai Park in 1913). The grounds include a duck pond, Mason Family Rose Gardens, monarch butterfly garden, camellia walk, bird aviary, miniature railway and significant native totara and matai. The recently combined Kōwhai Park playground features imaginative climbing structures, slides, swings, a splash pad and a fenced under-5s area, with toilets, picnic tables and parking on site.

Beautiful spot. Nothing bad about it. Park maintenance people must work so hard to keep it so clean. Ducks can be really messy which leaves paths slippery but this place is great. Lots of seats for a walk and a rest.
