Kowhai Park is a 10.2 hectare Manawatū District Council destination reserve on South Street in Feilding, one of the town's premier parks for over a century since the council purchased the land in 1906. The destination playground was redesigned to bring the under-fives and older-kids zones together, with customised wobbly-wood towers, slides including a green tube slide, rope bridges, a flying fox, musical instruments and play panels in the older area, and a climbing wall, balance bridge and crawl tunnel under shade sails for the toddlers. The wider park surrounds the play space with a duck pond, the Mason Family Rose Gardens, a monarch butterfly garden and a camellia walk. Best treated as a destination Feilding family stop.

Our visit to Kowhai Park was the highlight of our day trip to Fielding. It was a beautiful park with lovely trees, flowers, shrubs and a stunning pond with lots of ducks. We spent the afternoon there walking all the trails and admiring the beauty of everything around us. It was impeccably maintained!! Highly recommend it.
