Great park for cricket practice, has open cricket nets. Monday evenings are usually booked by the City suburbs cricket club. Parking can be a challenge.

Kelburn Park is a Wellington City Council suburban sportsground on Salamanca Road, a short walk from Victoria University and the Salamanca cable-car stop. The park hosts a senior sportsfield used for football and cricket, tennis and squash courts and a croquet green, with a Playco-built children's playground at the northern end featuring a rock-climbing wall, a bridge, infant and standard swings. The historic 1940s fountain at the cable-car station and lit colour shows are also part of the wider Salamanca Road precinct.

A very picturesque park located beside the cable car route. The sight of a cricket match on a bright sunny day at Kelburn Park seen from the top, near the Kelburn cable car station was breath-taking.
