Jellicoe Park is Onehunga's oldest park, established more than a century ago as Green Hill and renamed in 1921 to honour Governor-General Viscount Jellicoe. The Trafalgar Street site features century-old trees, formal flowerbeds, a fountain, memorial arches, the historic Onehunga Blockhouse (1860) and replica Fencible Cottages (1847), plus the Onehunga War Memorial Pool and Leisure Centre. The fenced playground at the Park Gardens entrance has a multi-play structure, tower and tunnel slide, trampoline and sand play, with toilets, picnic tables, walking tracks and a car park.
