Jean Sampson Reserve sits on Queen Street in Northcote Point, Auckland's North Shore, and is best known as one of the Kaipātiki area's first dedicated fenced toddler playgrounds (refurbished and reopened July 2021). The play space has a mound slide and tunnel, sandpit, basket swing, spinner and a short nature-trail bridge under shade sails, alongside seating, plantings, picnic tables and a drinking fountain. A basketball half-court, on-site toilets and bike racks complete the reserve - well-regarded by local families as a toddler-friendly stop rather than a destination playground.

This is a decent sized reserve area in Northcote, accessible via Queen Street. The children playground has been recently upgraded and has a lot of swings and areas to keep them busy for a couple hours. On street parking is available here. Decent and well maintained toilets is available here. There is always less crowd here, since the location is not that popular except for locals. Half sized basket ball court is also available here. Well recommended overall.
