Wai Manawa / Little Shoal Bay Reserve is an Auckland Council waterfront park on the inner Waitematā in Northcote, with a fully shade-clothed nautical-themed playground at its centre. The play space combines play towers, bridges, climbing ropes, three slides, a covered tunnel, climbing nets, monkey bars, two age-graded swing sets and interactive play panels (much of the equipment painted blue for the nautical theme), set on dark woodchip safety surface. Around it sit tennis courts, fitness equipment, picnic tables, a BBQ, an outdoor shower, public toilets, parking and harbour views across to the city.

Such a lovely seaside playground for the kids. It was very tidy and well maintained, and even though my three year old son was a *little* too small for it, he still had a wonderful time with his sister 🖤 …

The playground is great for kids and the newly installed sun shelters are great so kids can play all day and not get burnt. There are public toilets, drinking fountains and public bbq's. The beach is shelly and muddy.. great for kids that like looking for crabs.
